Hey Teachers! Do you know the educational benefits of the use of tangrams with your students? There are so many but some of the most important ones are:
- They help kids to classify shapes.
- They can develop positive feelings about geometry.
- They improve kids’ spatial relationships.
- They develop spatial rotation skills.
- They learn new vocabulary, such as flip or rotate.
The Tangram shapes are: five triangles (two small triangles, one medium triangle, and two large triangles), a square, and a parallelogram.
Tangram puzzles help kids to learn problem-solving skills and geometrical concepts. Math teachers normally use tangram puzzles in their classes, so they can educate relationships on basic shapes.
