The importance of working on reading and writing skills
The learning process of reading and writing it’s mainly taught when the kids are between 3 and 7-8 years old. It is very important to teach these two skills together, not independently, because they work together and each of them it’s necessary to the other. At first, kids will identify the letters, then their sounds, then their calligraphic and, finally, they will be able to write them.
Later on time, students will start learning the linguistic code and at the end of this process, they will read.
Reading and writing worksheets for kids
In this post you can find a type of worksheet that is very complete. On top you have the letter next to a picture with an object or animal that starts with that letter. Below you can find 6 different boxes to work with this letter. First, the kid can trace the letter using the finger. Then, the student can color it.
Next, the pupil can trace it following the dots and using a pencil. After that, the child can look for the letter and circle it. Then, the kid can match the letter with its lower case letter. Finally, the student can write the letter in the last box.
